Event Safety
Your safety is of prime importance to us. Safety is the reason we have chosen park environments for Run 2 Heal.

All roads throughout the course will be open to traffic. You must take the appropriate precaution of always checking any roads before crossing.

Follow the instructions of marshalls at all times

At the start line, runners assemble at the front, walkers at the rear.

Walkers are requested to stay to the left of the path to enable runners to pass on the right. Please avoid travelling more than 2 abreast.

There will be water stations on the course. You are requested to discard water cups off the paths to minimise the risk of people slipping on discarded cups. Ensure that you drink an adequate amount of water to avoid dehydration. Water will be available at the finish line.

There will be a mobile paramedic riding the course to treat anyone who may have an injury or accident. All accidents must be reported to the first aid personnel on the course or at the first aid post at the finish line. If you have an accident, immediately advise the marshalls on course who will call for assistance.

You are reminded that you need to take care when walking close to the edge of paths so you do not trip or fall on the edge. Additionally there are a number of areas where the footpath is not level and so please watch where you are walking at all times.

Please take appropriate steps to ensure your feet are well protected from rubbing or chafing. Shoes should fit correctly, be comfortable and well broken in.

Please ensure that you remember to bring with you any prescribed medication that you may require. Remember the sunblock. If it looks like rain throw a shower proof jacket into your bag.

Please note that the Allison Roe Run to Heal is a Smokefree and Sunsmart event.

We trust you will enjoy participating in this event and look forward to making this an enjoyable day for all.
